Fort Wayne, IN - A pair of Fort Wayne alums impressed at Sunday's Futures Game at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. RHP Mat Latos worked a perfect 4th inning for Team USA and OF Luis Durango dragged a bunt single and stole a base for Team World. Team World beat Team USA, 7-5, in a seven-inning game.

Latos entered for the 4th inning and worked a 1-2-3 frame. He retired Indians farmhand Nick Weglarz on a groundout, Brewers minor-leaguer Brett Lawrie via flyout and Mets prospect Wilmer Flores on a groundout. With the TinCaps this year, Latos went 3-0 with a 0.36 ERA in four appearances. He was promoted directly to Double-A San Antonio, where he was named a Texas League All-Star after going 5-1 with a 1.91 ERA in nine starts.

In the top of the 5th , Durango legged out a drag bunt for a single and stole second base. He then tried stealing third base, but was thrown out. Durango played for Fort Wayne last season, batting .305 with 14 stolen bases in 93 games. This year with San Antonio, he is batting .288 with 28 stolen bases in 80 games.

Also of note, Ossian native RHP Jarrod Parker entered the game in the top of the 5th and induced an inning-ending flyout. Parker is 5-4 with a 2.51 ERA between Advanced-A Visalia and Double-A Mobile in the Diamondbacks organization. He was a 1st -round pick in the 2007 draft.

Fort Wayne and the Peoria Chiefs (Class-A Chicago Cubs) finish their three-game series Monday at noon Eastern time. TinCaps RHP Erik Davis (8-3) is opposed by Peoria RHP Kevin Hart (0-0), a major leaguer making a tune-up start in Class-A.

The TinCaps return to Parkview Field on Tuesday to open a six-game homestand against the Clinton LumberKings (Class-A Seattle Mariners) and Quad Cities River Bandits (Class- A St. Louis Cardinals).
