
Former EL All-Star Guzman joins Senators

Harrisburg, PA - OF Garrett Guzman, a 2007 Eastern League All-Star, was sent from Columbus to Harrisburg on Saturday. OF Jorge Padilla was promoted to Triple-A Columbus.
Guzman, 25, was a post-season EL All-Star last year for New Britain, hitting .312 with 14 home runs. The Nationals selected him from the Twins in the Rule 5 Draft in December of 2007. He hit .165 in 35 games with Columbus this season before being sent to Harrisburg.
Padilla, 28, was among the Eastern League's best hitters at the time of his promotion. He was 3rd in the league in batting average (.330) and 2nd in on-base percentage (.437). He is the 8th Senator from the 2008 Opening Day roster to be promoted to Columbus.
