
Former Condor Laurent Brossoit Expected to Make Oilers Debut Tonight

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, owned by the Edmonton Oilers, announced today that G Laurent Brossoit is expected to become the 14th Condor in team history to make his National Hockey League (NHL) debut, tonight for the Oilers against the San Jose Sharks. He would become the third Condor to make his NHL debut in eight days (Tyler Bunz, David Musil).
"LB is a shining example of the type of talent that has been and will continue to come to Bakersfield under our partnership with the Oilers," said Condors Team President Matthew Riley. "He is a tremendous player on the ice and a terrific guy off the ice. We wish him nothing but the best and if he ends up back in Condorstown next year with our move up to the AHL, we will certainly welcome that!"
BROSSOIT "bro-SWAH" Made 25 straight starts for the Oklahoma City Barons (AHL) before his recall and owns a 22-21-4 record with a 2.65 GAA and a .916 save percentage this season Spent the 2013-14 season with Bakersfield, helping the team to their historic run to the ECHL Western Conference Finals Went 26-9-2 on the season with a 2.01 goals-against average (GAA) and a .926 save percentage Led the ECHL in wins, GAA, shutouts with eight, and was second in save percentage His eight shutouts tied an ECHL single season record only accomplished by two other goalies in the league's 27-year history Selected to the 2013-14 ECHL All-Rookie Team and All-ECHL Second TeamNamed ECHL Goaltender of the Week on three occasionsAdded three more shutouts and went 10-6-0 in the playoffs as the Condors advanced to the Western Conference Finals
