Georgia Force News Release

FLOWERY BRANCH, GA - Georgia Force WR/LB Derek Lee was named to the AFL All-Ironman Team for the 2006 season.

Lee, in his second AFL season, recorded 127 receptions for 1,427 yards and 26 touchdowns on offense, while adding 15.5 tackles, three interceptions, three pass defenses and one fumble recovery on defense. Lee's 127 catches set a new franchise mark for receptions in a single-season, breaking the previous mark of 113, set by Lee last year. He also led all WR/LB's in receptions during the regular season. Lee returned his third interception of the season 45 yards for a score in Georgia's, 55-20, win over Chicago in Week 14. Yesterday, Lee was named to the All-Arena first team.

The Force will play the New York Dragons on Sunday, May 21, at 3:00 p.m., in Nassau Coliseum. Georgia finished the regular season 8-8 and New York finished 10-6.
