Dallas Desperados News Release

The Dallas Desperados and head coach Will McClay agreed to a contract extension Thursday that will ensure that McClay is under contract for the 2007 and 2008 AFL seasons.

"I am very excited personally and for the organization to have Will back to lead the players that are still under contract," said Desperados COO Shy Anderson. "His contract extension will allow us to build on the success we had this season."

"He's a classy individual with a great football mind. He is one of the sharpest coaches in the Arena Football League. With 15 years of AFL playing and coaching experience, he knows what it takes to win in this game."

"I am very happy that the organization and the Jones family have shown that much faith in me through the past three seasons and for the future," said McClay. "This has been, and continues to be a great organization to work for, with talented people to work with. I look forward to having great success for the next several years in Dallas."
