DURHAM, NC - Right-hander Dylan Floro was named the International League Pitcher of the Week after earning the win in the Bulls' 1-0 victory Opening Day against the Gwinnett Braves.

Making his Triple-A debut, the 24-year-old threw six shutout innings on just 61 pitches. A 13th round selection in the 2012 draft, Floro surrendered just one hit and did not walk a batter, while striking out one. He became the first Durham starting pitcher since RHP Mitch Talbot in 2009 to open the season with a scoreless outing.

A season ago the Cal State Fullerton product was a three-time Southern League Pitcher of the Week with Double-A Montgomery, a year in which he led Minor League Baseball with 178.2 innings pitched. In 2013 the California native was named Tampa Bay's Minor League Pitcher of the Year, following an 11-2 campaign with a 1.77 ERA in 23 starts between Single-A Bowling Green and Advanced-A Charlotte. Following his win on Opening Day, he is now 27-16 for his career with a 2.66 ERA.

The Durham Bulls return home to the DBAP for the ballpark's 20th Anniversary season opener on Wednesday, April 15. Full season, Mini Plan, and group ticket packages for the 2015 season are available now. Tickets for the 2015 ACC Baseball Championship and USA Baseball games at the DBAP are also on sale now.
