San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (March 10, 2013) - Florida Panthers Executive VP/General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has returned on loan forward Jon Rheault to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL). In conjunction, the Rampage have returned on loan forward David Pacan to the team's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Rheault, 26, made his NHL debut on March 5 and played three games while up with the Panthers, recording a plus-2 rating in that span. Rheault has played in 50 games in San Antonio this season and paces the club with 37 points (17 goals, 20 assists), which establishes an AHL career-high for the Arlington, Texas native. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound winger was drafted in the fifth round (145th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers. Rheault is one of four Rampage players to make their NHL debuts this season with the Panthers.
Pacan, 21, has recorded two assists in four games for the Rampage this season and has tallied 49 points (14 goals, 35 assists) in 54 games for the Cyclones, good for second on the team's scoring charts. Pacan, the sixth-round selection (177th overall) of the Chicago BlackHawks in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, spent the last two seasons with the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League and played in 133 games, recording 49 goals and 77 assists. During the IceDogs playoff run last year, Pacan averaged 1.00 points per game on eight goals and 12 assists in 20 games as the club made it to the Robertson Cup Finals.
The Silver & Black will kick off a four-game homestand this afternoon (Sunday) with a 4:30 p.m. tilt against the Oklahoma City Barons in the club's sixth annual Pucks & Paws game. Tickets are only $20 for you and your dog and $5 of every dog ticket sold will be donated to the Alamo Area Partners for Animal Welfare (AAPAW).
Tickets for Pucks & Paws, and all remaining Rampage home games, can be purchased at the AT&T Center Southeast Box Office, by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at sarampage.com.
