Toronto Drops Peoria 4-1

The Toronto Marlies defeated the Peoria Rivermen, AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, by a score of 4-1 this afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum.

Marlies rookie Brad Ross notched his 2nd goal of the season to open the scoring at 7:13 of the first period. Dylan Yeo would make it 2-0 before the end of the frame on an unassisted shorthanded goal at 19:12. Jerry D'Amigo and Brad Ross (2nd of the game) added tallies for Toronto before Derek Nesbitt notched the lone goal for Peoria. Jussi Rynnas made 20 saves to earn his 9th victory of the season.

Toronto returns to the ice on Wednesday night when they host the Lake Erie Monsters, AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825).
