Aeros Sign Goalie Jeff Jakaitis to a PTO

Houston, TX - Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill announced on Sunday the team has signed goalie Jeff Jakaitis to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).

The sixth-year pro joins the team from the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays, where he posted a record of 7-5-3 with a 2.32 goals against average and a .927 save percentage this year. Over the course of his career, the 29-year old tender has made ten AHL appearances for Portland and Worcester. Over that span, the Rochester, MN native is 5-3-1 mark with a 3.27 goals against average and a .901 save percentage.

Houston and Charlotte will have a rematch on Sunday, Mar. 10 at 2 p.m., rounding out a two-game set at Time Warner Cable Arena. The Aeros return home on Thursday, Mar. 14 at 7:05 p.m. as Houston hosts Abbotsford at Toyota Center. The game marks a "Thirsty Thursday", where fans may take their ticket stub to The Maple Leaf Pub (Smith and Elgin). The first 500 fans to The Maple Leaf Pub will receive a second drink free with their ticket stub.

Aeros season tickets start as low as $9 per seat and may be purchased online at Aeros.com by placing a $100 deposit. Once your order is processed, an Aeros ticket representative will contact you to choose your exact seat location, as well as discuss the payment options.
