Florida Panthers Recall D Shane O'Brien from San Antonio

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has recalled D Shane O'Brien from San Antonio (AHL). In addition, the club announced today that D Willie Mitchell (retroactive to Feb. 3) and F Brandon Pirri (retroactive to Feb. 10) have been placed on injured reserve.

O'Brien, 31, has played in four games with Florida this season, registering one assist. For his career in the National Hockey League, he has appeared in 532 games for Florida (2014-15), Calgary (2013-2014), Colorado (2011-2013), Nashville (2010-11), Vancouver (2008-2010), Tampa Bay (2007-08) and Anaheim (2006-2007), scoring 13 goals with 79 assists and 911 penalty minutes.

The Port Hope, Ontario, native has appeared in 33 games with San Antonio this year, recording eight goals with 11 assists (8-11-19) and 101 PIM.
