Florida native defenseman assigned to Blades from Albany

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced that defenseman Noah Babin has been assigned to the club from the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

Babin joins the Everblades after starting the year by playing in 22 games with the River Rats. The 24-year-old is in his third season professionally and his third with the River Rats. Overall Babin has seen action in 79 pro games and has 11 career points (1g, 10a) and 35 penalty minutes.

A native of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Babin becomes the first Florida born player to skate with the Florida Everblades in their 11-year history. Prior to jumping to the pro ranks the 6-foot, 185 pound blue liner competed at the collegiate level with Notre Dame from 2003-07. In 146 career games with the Fighting Irish Babin recorded 49 points (10g, 39a).
