Forward Zaborsky Assigned to Bombers by NHL's New York Rangers

Dayton, OH - The Dayton Bombers announced today that the NHL's New York Rangers have recalled forward Tomas Zaborsky from the Hartford Wolf Pack and have reassigned him to Dayton.

Zaborsky, 21, was an NHL fifth round (#137 overall) draft pick of the Rangers in 2006. He made his professional debut last season with Hartford of the American Hockey League, playing in two games and picking up one assist. This season he has skated in 28 games for the Charlotte Checkers, picking up four goals and eight assists.

The 5-foot-11-inch, 181-pound left wing from Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, played two seasons with the OHL's Saginaw Spirit from 2006 to 2008. He had 113 points (50g,63a) in 127 regular season games.

The Bombers are on the road this weekend at Trenton tonight at 7:30 and Saturday at 7:00, then Sunday at Reading at 1:05. Fans can tune into WONE 980AM for broadcasts of Friday and Sunday's games. Action returns to the Nutter Center on Saturday, January 10 when the Bombers and Wheeling Nailers face off at 7:30 for "Military Appreciation Night". Silver level tickets are 2-for-1 with a military ID at the box office. Special WPAFB-designed jerseys will be worn and auctioned off immediately following the game to benefit the Fisher/Nightingale Houses and Dayton Bombers Foundation.
