
Florida Everblades Galiardi Named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades forward Rylan Galiardi has been named the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Feb. 27-March 4. In addition, Galiardi was loaned to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League this past Sunday.
Galiardi registered eight points (4g, 4a) and posted a +4 rating, to help lead the Everblades to a 2-0-1 record last week against the Kalamazoo Wings.
The Calgary, Alberta native opened the week with two points (1g-1a) in a 5-4 shootout loss on "Ë Wednesday and then set a season-high with four points (3g-1a) in a 9-3 on Friday. He closed the week with two assists in a 5-4 win on Saturday.
The Calgary, Alberta totaled 42 points (16g-26a) in 53 games with the "Ë Everblades this season. The 6-1, 200-pound forward tallied 81 points (29g-52a) in 140 career games at the University of Minnesota-Mankato. Galiardi appeared in 10 games last with the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) last season logging two assists.
On behalf of Rylan Galiardi, a case of pucks will be donated to a Florida youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 25,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
Florida opens up a 12-day, seven-game road trip which begins on Friday against the Wheeling Nailers at the Cambria County War Memorial in Johnstown, Pa. Game time is 7:35 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN 770 AM, or online at www.floridaeverblades.com
Florida will return home again on Wednesday, March 21 against South Carolina at 7:30 p.m. Fans can enjoy $2 drafts, $2 wines, and $2 hot dogs all night long.
