
Jason Missiaen Named ECHL Goalie of the Week

PRINCETON, NJ -Jason Missiaen of the Greenville Road Warriors is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Feb. 27-March 4. He also won the award for the week of Dec. 5-11.
The 21-year-old was 3-0-0 with a 1.62 goals-against average and a save percentage of .948 in three appearances last week.
Missiaen made 23 saves in a 2-1 win at Cincinnati on Tuesday and then stopped 27 shots in a 2-1 victory against South Carolina on Saturday. He ended the week by matching his season high with 42 saves in a 6-3 win against Trenton on Saturday.
A fourth-round selection (116th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Missiaen has appeared in 33 games for the Road Warriors this season going 18-12-2 with three shutouts, a 2.90 goals-against average and a save percentage of .910.
Under contract to the NHL's New York Rangers, Missiaen appeared in 53 games for Baie-Comeau in the QMJHL last season, posting a 10-33-8 record with a goals-against average of 3.33 and a save percentage of .893. Prior to that, he played four seasons in the OHL with Peterborough, compiling a record of 48-65-6 in 131 games.
Missiaen and the Road Warriors are taking on the Gwinnett Gladiators tonight at the BI-LO Center at 7:35 p.m. in a showdown for first place in the Eastern Conference. The Road Warriors are hosting a Two For Tuesday presented by BI-LO.
