(Toledo, OH) - The Toledo Walleye and Head Coach Nick Vitucci announced today that the team has agreed to terms with forward Kris Belan (bee-lan).

Belan, a native of Florence, Ontario, has spent the last five years playing college hockey at the University of Guelph. The team captain this past season appeared in 131 college games with 58 goals, 41 assists and 415 penalty minutes. Prior to his time in college, Belan played parts of three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League between London and Oshawa. In 83 career OHL games, the 25-year-old scored 8 goals with 11 assists.

The Toledo Walleye will return home on March 18 to host the Kalamazoo Wings. It is the third annual St. CatTrick's Day Celebration presented by the Blarney Irish Pub.
