Florence Y'alls
Florence, KY: When this series began Thursday, the Florence Freedom were a game out of first place with Washington and Evansville being tied atop the Frontier League East Division. What a difference a three game series makes.
On Thursday, Florence beat Washington 6-4, on Friday, the Freedom beat the Wild Things in a 13 Inning thriller, 9-8. Last night, Florence completed the three game sweep of the Wild Things with a 13-9 victory. Now, Florence stands atop the Division all alone with a league best record of 22-14. (Kalamazoo also has a 22-14 record in the West Division).
Florence now holds a one game lead over the Evansville Otters, and a two game lead over the Washington Wild Things. The Freedom carry their four game winning streak into tonight's game Vs. the Ohio Valley Red Coats at Champion Window Field in Florence, Kentucky. First pitch is scheduled at 6:05, gates open at Five PM tonight. Jason Brunke (0-2) is scheduled to go for the Freedom against Ohio Valley's Ty Kline (2-3).
