The Roosters return to McBride Stadium on Sunday night to take on the Chillicothe Paints. The three game series will begin with a special Sunday game time to accommodate the fireworks display following the game. It fun for everyone at McBride: Sunday, July 3rd - (GAME STARTS AT 6:35 PM, GATES OPEN 5:35 PM) SPECIAL SUNDAY GAME TIME FOR FIREWORKS Don't miss the fireworks celebration after tonight's game! A magnificent fireworks display celebrating the July 4th holiday will immediately follow the game's last out. It is also Premier Mortgage Baseball Cup Giveaway night. The first 1,000 fans entering the ballpark will receive a Roosters Collectors Cup courtesy of Premier Mortgage. In addition, students from Rose Hamilton Elementary will be recognized for honors in excellence and attendance. It is also Pal-Item Family Day. Look for a ticket coupon in the Palladium-Item. Monday, July 4th - (GAME STARTS AT 6:35 PM, GATES OPEN 5:35 PM) It is the second edition of Rowdy Factor! Watch contestants try to eat unusual food prepared by O'Charley's. Also, it is Meijer Monday! If you show your Meijer receipt and/or card at the gate, you will receive a buy one ticket/get one free discount. It is another school night. Western Wayne Elementary students will be honored at the game. Tuesday, July 5th - (GAME STARTS AT 6:35 PM, GATES OPEN 5:35 PM) Tonight is Ugly Tie Night sponsored by Dillard's in the Richmond Square Mall. Last year's Ugly Tie Night was such a hit that it is back for another year. Fans wearing ugly ties will be judged by the McBride Stadium crowd. The fan with the ugliest tie receives a gift card to Dillard's and four tickets to any future Roosters game. Vaile Elementary students will be honored at the game as part of an Excellence In Education Night.
ROOSTERS MAKE SAD ANNOUNCEMENT
The Richmond Roosters have announced that they have reached an agreement to sell the team to John and Leslye Wuerful of the Traverse City Beach Bums in Traverse City, Michigan at the end of the 2005 season. The team will move to Traverse City for the 2006 season. The Roosters will operate the club through the remainder of the current season.
We thank our fans, sponsors and friends for everything they have done and continue to do to support our hometown Richmond Roosters. We invite everyone to come out and support the team during the remainder of the season.
