
Rascals pound Grizzlies

The River City Rascals pounded the Grizzlies 19-1 Sunday night at GMC Stadium. The Rascals led 3-0 after one inning of play. 10-0 after two and went from there.
The Grizzlies are now 14-23. River City improves to 21-15 on the season.
Mikela Olsen and Mike Conner each had four RBIs for River City. Mike Madrid added three.
Ben Margalski had the only RBI for the Grizzlies. He was 2-4 with a solo home run in the seventh inning.
David Smith took the loss. He lasted just 1.2 innings, allowing eight runs on six hits and two walks. Smith (2-3) did not strike out a hitter.
Steve Brook (5-0) went eight innings in the win for the Rascals. He struck out seven and did not walk a batter.
The Grizzlies and Rascals continue the series with a 6:05 game Monday night at GMC Stadium. Fireworks follow the game at GMC.
