Florence Freedom announce 2007 game schedule

Florence, KY - The Florence Freedom announced their 2007 schedule today, which will open at home with a 4 game home stand at Champion Window Field May 23. Florence takes on the Chillicothe Paints Wednesday, May 23 at 7:05pm to kick off the season.

The start of the 2007 season will mark the third year for the Freedom under the new ownership of Northern Kentucky businessman Clint Brown, the fifth season for the franchise.

Next season's schedule includes 50 home games with 24 weekend games (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and nine Thursday games prompting the Freedom to create an action packed promotional calendar. Fans will enjoy nine (9) Thirsty Thursday $1 beer nights, nine (9) Friday post-game firework shows, and seven (7) Super Saturdays with premium item giveaways and post-game festivities. Sundays will include appearances by minor league baseball national acts Myron Noodleman, ZOOperstars, Blues Brothers, and Jake the Diamond Dog.

Additional schedule highlights include 2007 Opening Day May 23rd; a July 4th 4:05pm game, and the 2007 Frontier League All-Star game July 11th.

Also new for 2007 is the 25-game weekend half season ticket, and the introduction of the Thirsty-Thursday mini-plan and Fireworks-Friday mini-plan. Each package, along with full season tickets, includes tickets to Opening Day and the Frontier League All-Star Game. Florence Freedom is a member of the Frontier League, a 12-team Independent Professional Baseball League established in 1993. The Freedom play a 96 game schedule with 50 home games between late May and early September.
