
Principal Family Fun Fest scheduled for July 24

LOVES PARK, Ill. - A popular touring baseball event will stop for a repeat performance at RiverHawks Stadium next summer.
Today, the RiverHawks announced that the Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest will stop at the ballpark on July 24. That day, the Fun Fest will set up shop in the RiverHawks Stadium parking lot with a traveling minor-league museum and more than 20 midway-style attractions, including batting cages, radar gun pitching challenge, steal home bungee run, giant "side by side" super slide, a video game trailer and much more. The event is free to the public and lasts from 4 p.m. until the start of that night's 7:05 p.m. game against Washington.
The RiverHawks are the defending Western Division champions of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 15th season in 2007.
