Evansville, Indiana: With the crucial series tied at one apiece, the Freedom and Otters were both looking to take the series, but the Otters came away with it, 5-1, moving closer to the Freedom for the second and final playoff spot.

Otter's pitcher Brian Kroll silenced the Florence bats; he went seven innings and only gave up the lone Freedom run. The Florence run was achieved by Kyle Geswein once again, he drove in Mike Galloway on an RBI single in the fourth. Galloway went 2-4 with the lone run scored, raising his batting average to an outstanding .363. The bullpen got the night off for the Freedom, Joel Posey (7-1) went all eight innings, he gave up five earned on seven hits, striking out seven.

With the Wild Things losing in Chillicothe, the Freedom remain only four back of first place, and remain ahead by four games for the final playoff spot. Have no fear, the Freedom return to town tonight, for possibly the biggest series so far this year. The Freedom welcome the Paints to Champion Window Field, the Paints are in third place, four games behind the final playoff spot held by the Freedom. Tonight's first pitch is scheduled at 7:05, Saturday's at 7:05, and Sunday at 6:05.
