Utah Flash News Release

ANAHEIM, Calif., Feb. 20, 2008 - Ronald Dupree and James Lang recorded double-doubles to lead the Utah Flash to its eighth victory in the last 10 outings, 105-89, over the Anaheim Arsenal Friday at the Anaheim Convention Center.

An NBA D-League All-Star, Dupree scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Lang also scored 18 and collected 10 boards. Every Flash player got into the scoring column and six scored in double digits as the Flash converted 30-of-31 from the free throw line.

Utah improved to 18-11 with the victory and moves within one-half game of the Idaho Stampede for the NBADL West Division lead. The Flash is host to Central Division leader Iowa (18-10) Saturday at 7 p.m. at the McKay Events Center in Orem, Utah. Anaheim dropped to 12-20.

Coming into the game as the third-best defensive team in the league, Utah limited Anaheim to just 38-percent from the floor (33-of-87) and forced 16 turnovers. The Flash held the league's second-leading scorer, Anaheim's James White, to less than half his average at 12 points and 3-of-9 shooting.

"We played solid defense, limited our turnovers and that's a pretty good formula for success," Flash head coach Brad Jones said. "To hold a great player like James White like we did, and not just him but Cedric Bozeman (17.4 ppg) to 3-for-16 shooting is a very solid effort."

Carlos Wheeler came off the Flash bench to score 15 points, while Andre Ingram and Bennet Davis chipped in 14 each. Dontell Jefferson had 12 for the Flash.

Thomas Gardner led all scorers with 21 points just hours after being assigned to the Arsenal by the Atlanta Hawks. Marcus Taylor followed with 15 and Kedric Brown added 14 for Anaheim. Bozeman had 10 rebounds.
