
John Lucas Joins 14ers

DENVER - February 20, 2009 - The Colorado 14ers announced today that guard John Lucas has been added to the team. Lucas gives Colorado a 10-man roster after GATORADE Call-Up Eddie Gill was signed to a second 10-day contract by the Milwaukee Bucks. Lucas will wear number 15 and will be available for the 14ers next game Sunday afternoon at Austin.
The 5-11 guard was a free agent before entering the NBA Development League this season, having last played in training camp for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the fall of 2008. Prior to this season, Lucas played for Benetton Treviso in the Italian League and for the Houston Rockets from 2005-2007. He also had a previous stint in the D-League with the Tulsa 66ers in the 2005-2006 season.
In 60 career NBA games Lucas averaged 3.1 points and 0.8 assists. The son of former NBA player and coach John Lucas also led Oklahoma State to the NCAA Final Four in 2004.
