Flames Surpass 3,000 Shots for First Time in Franchise History

SAINT JOHN, NB - The Saint John Flames reached 3,000 shots on goal for the first time in Franchise history in last night's 4-2 loss versus the St. John 's Maple Leafs at St. John's. The Flames, who have led the American Hockey League in shots all season, entered the game needing only 13 shots to reach the mark. The club outshot the Maple Leafs 41-34 to bring their season total to date 3,028.

The Flames also became the first American Hockey League club to surpass 3,000 shots in a season since the League began including shots on goal in its statistics in 1992-93. The Flames previous Franchise record of 2,994 shots on goal was set during the 2000-01 season.

The Saint John Flames return to action at Harbour Station for their final game of the season on Friday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m. when they host the Lowell Lock Monsters.
