Calgary Flames Recall Blair Betts from Saint John

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames Vice-President & General Manager Craig Button announced today forward Blair Betts has been recalled from the Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League.

Betts, a 22 year-old native of Edmonton, AB played in 67 games with Saint John this season leading the team with 49 points (20 goals, 29 assists). In 142 AHL career games over the last two seasons the 6'1" 200 lbs. forward has posted 77 points (33 goals 44 assists) and 38 penalty minutes. Betts was a member of the Silver Medal winning Canadian Team at the 1999 World Junior Championships. Betts was the Flames' second choice, 33rd overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
