Flames Reassign Goaltender Danny Taylor to Abbotsford

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today they have reassigned goaltender Danny Taylor to the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League. Miikka Kiprusoff has rejoined the team in Nashville after the birth of his second child.

Taylor, who backed up Joey MacDonald last night in Dallas, has appeared in two games with the Flames this season recording a 1-1-0 record including his first career NHL win on March 3rd versus the Vancouver Canucks. Born in Plymouth, England but raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Taylor has backstopped the Flames affiliate in Abbotsford for the past two seasons. This season he is currently first in the AHL with a 1.96 GAA and fifth in save percentage .924%. Taylor was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the 7th round (221st overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft.
