
Falcons Sign Aleardi to ATO

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons, AHL affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced on Tuesday that they have signed right wing Alex Aleardi to an amateur try-out agreement (ATO).
Aleardi played the last five seasons in the OHL with the Kitchener Rangers, Belleville Bulls, Plymouth Whalers, and most recently, the Windsor Spitfires. In 321-career OHL contests from 2008 through 2013, Aleardi scored 104 goals and added 123 assists for 227 points while accumulating a +22 rating. A native of Farmington Hills, Mich., Aleardi, 20, combined for a career-high 71 points (27g-44a) in 2012-2013 with Plymouth and Windsor. He notched a personal-best 36 goals with the Whalers in 2011-2012.
The Falcons are back home this Wednesday to host Manchester, presented by Junior Achievement, before welcoming Worcester to the MassMutual Center on Friday, presented by Sargento. Fans attending Friday's game will have the opportunity to win a new HDTV, courtesy of Manny's TV & Appliances, as part of "Flat-Screen Friday." Both home games this week begin at 7 p.m. The Falcons venture back to Bridgeport on Saturday for their final road meeting with the Sound Tigers in 2012-2013.
Single-game tickets to see the Falcons in 2012-2013 can be purchased at the MassMutual Center Box Office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. through game time on Saturday home dates, and starting four hours prior to Sunday home contests.
