Round Rock Express News Release
The Round Rock Express have had a problem with giving up the big inning on this road trip, and Wednesday night was no different.
The Arkansas Travelers scored five runs in the sixth to break open a close game and down the Express, 8-1, in front of 2,241 at Ray Winder Field.
With Arkansas ahead only 2-0, the Travelers exploded in the sixth. Brian Specht capped the inning with the first of two home runs on the night, a two-run shot.
Round Rock never threatened after that, although Eric Cole did homer for the second night in a row.
Mike Brunet (2-4) was the winner after throwing a complete game five-hitter. Greg Powell (2-6) took the loss.
The series will continue Thursday night at 7:10 p.m.
