Round Rock Express News Release

Jon Topolski started the Round Rock Express' offensive outburst Tuesday night, and four innings later, he finished it. Topolski hit a three-run home run in the third and a grand slam in the seventh to lead the Express to a 10-5 win over the Frisco RoughRiders in front of 9,865 at the Dr Pepper/7 Up Ballpark.

Topolski's seven RBI night was the highest single game output by a Round Rock player this year and the second highest in the club's history. Morgan Ensberg had an eight RBI night in 2000.

With the score tied at 1-1, Tommy Whiteman gave Round Rock the lead with a two-run single in the third. Topolski then capped the inning with his first homer of the night.

He then added to the deluge in the seventh with a grand slam in the seventh. It was the third grand slam of the season for the Express.

Eric Cole added his fifth homer in the second.

Chad Qualls (3-6) got the win with his second straight quality start. He went six innings and allowed only one unearned run on four hits.

C.J. Wilson (3-5) was the loser after giving up six runs in six innings.

Round Rock will now travel to Little Rock, Arkansas for the first time this year to close out the first half with a four-game series against the Arkansas Travlers.
