-Francisco Morales (W, 3-10) got the winning decision after only allowing three earned runs in five innings

-Colton Eastman took the mound for the first time since June 11th, and despite running into a bases-loaded jam with one away, he was able to finish his inning of work scoreless

-Kyle Dohy finished the game for the R-Phils, allowing just one earned run in the seventh while striking out two.

-The Fightin's five run inning would prove to be enough for the victory, as they won game one of the doubleheader 7-4

Game Two: BOX SCORE Akron 1 Reading 0

-Starting pitcher Hans Crouse went four and a third innings strong in his Baseballtown debut, allowing one earned while striking out six

-The sole run of the game came via a Steven Kwan homer in the third for the Rubber Ducks

-Jonathan Hennigan was the first out of the bullpen, and helped close the book on Crouse's game in a big way, stranding both the inherited runners left over from the starter. He finished the game with 1.2 scoreless frames with two punchouts

-Zach Warren came in to keep it a one-run game in the seventh, and did so despite loading up the bases with two away.

-Josh Stephen got himself into scoring position in the bottom half on a double, but he would be stranded as the R-Phils dropped the second of the back-to-back 1-0.
