Fisher Cats power past Portland 4-2!

(Portland, ME) - RHP Adrian Martin (1-1) earned his first Double-A win, tossing six scoreless frames in New Hampshire's 4-2 win over the Portland Sea Dogs (42-45) on Saturday night at Hadlock Field. The Sea Dogs scored two unearned runs off the Fisher Cats (40-48) bullpen in the late innings.

Martin's only jam came in the third inning on consecutive singles by 2B Ryan Khoury and RF Reid Engel. The righty fanned 3B Iggy Suarez and CF Josh Reddick hit into a 4-6-3 double play. Martin yielded three hits, one walk and fanned four.

RHP Blake Maxwell (1-6) suffered the loss for the Sea Dogs, allowing all four runs in the fourth inning. Maxwell finished the night with five innings of work on six hits no walks and fanned two. DH Nick Gorneault started the scoring with a solo-homer down the left-field line. 1B David Cooper and 2B Brad Emaus singled with C Brian Jeroloman launching a 3-run homer to right-center field.

Portland scored an unearned run in the seventh inning off RHP Celson Polanco. With one out, 1B Lars Anderson doubled and scored when LF Todd Donovan dropped a fly ball off the bat of SS Argenis Diaz. LHP Edgar Estanga tossed 2/3 of an inning and picked up his sixth hold of the year. The Sea Dogs scored an unearned off Estanga due to 2 errors by the Fisher Cats to start the eighth. 3B Jorge Jimenez knocked in Portland's second run of the game with a sac-fly to center field, scoring CF Josh Reddick.

RHP Danny Farquhar earned his 6th save of the season with 1.1 scoreless innings on one walk and two strikeouts.
