ABOUT LAST GAME: The Fireflies finished their suspended game from Saturday on Sunday afternoon and defeated the Drive, 13-3. In the originally scheduled second game of the series later Sunday afternoon, Columbia fell, 5-4, at Fluor Field. The Fireflies tied a season-high with 13 runs in the first game. Vinny Siena recorded four hits and Jeff Diehl smashed the first grand slam in franchise history.
BATTING CHAMP: Siena recorded his second four-hit game of the year on Sunday. He followed that up by going 2-for-3 in the second game. His batting average is tops in the South Atlantic League at .366. Siena is hitting a remarkable .625 (15-24) at Fluor Field. He finished 9-for-16 in the first four-game series at the park from April 21-24.
RETURN OF THE KAZ: After 15 days on the Disabled List, Kevin Kaczmarski was activated and added to the roster. He made a splash in his debut back in the lineup, going 2-for-4 with a double on Sunday. The outfielder starts in center field on Monday night against the Drive
RBI STREAK: David Thompson's outstanding RBI total keeps inflating. He has driven in 35 this season - the most in all of professional baseball. More impressive, he has at least one RBI in five straight games.
SCORE?: The Fireflies are 5-5 against Greenville this year.
