ABOUT LAST GAME: The Fireflies lost the middle game of the three-game series to Hagerstown, 6-2, on Friday night. Kevin Kaczmarski, David Thompson and Ivan Wilson all doubled.

HAPPY 100TH BIRTHDAY: On Saturday night, the Fireflies pay homage to their roots with a National Park Centennial Celebration. Columbia will be wearing these special Park Ranger jerseys which will be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to Congaree National Park. The jersey auction is now live at this link. The Fireflies' name is derived from the phenomenon that occurs each spring at Congaree National Park.

WHAT'S AT STAKE: The Fireflies have dropped the first two of the series against Hagerstown. Columbia has not been swept this season.

ROARING RAMOS: As a team, Columbia is hitting just .222 over its last ten games, but Milton Ramos has a .313 batting average during that same span. The shortstop has a hit in eight of his last nine games and has driven in four runs.

THE BULLPEN'S BEST DAYS: Columbia's bullpen has excelled the last week. Relievers haven't allowed an earned run in six straight games. In that span, every relief pitcher has appeared in at least one of those games. Craig Missigman (14.2), Seth Davis (8.2) and Tyler Bashlor (6.0) all have impressive consecutive scoreless innings streaks. Not to be forgotten, Christian Montgomery (13.5) and Alex Palsha (13.1) are both in the top five in the league in SO:9 IP ratio.

THE OTHER GUYS: The Suns are second in the South Atlantic League in stolen bases (68 in 55 games). Hagerstown swipes 71% of the bases it tries to steal-that rate is third-best in the league. The Suns, though, have stolen more total bases than the two other teams that sit ahead of them. Hagerstown has attempted to steal six bases this series.
