LAST TIME OUT: Columbia tallied 10 more hits on Saturday in front of a crowd of 5,820 and defeated the Tourists, 5-4. It was the third straight win over Asheville and the Fireflies go for the four-game series sweep on Sunday. Starter Yeizo Campos turned in another brilliant performance: a season-high seven innings, five hits allowed and seven strikeouts compared to no walks. Third baseman Jose Brizuela collected three hits as well, his first three-hit game of the year.
LATE-SEASON SURGE: The Fireflies have now won eight of their last 10 games. Columbia's offense is averaging nearly six runs per game during that stretch (since 8/12) and has 100 total hits over its last 10 games. Columbia owns the best record in the SAL over the last 10 games.
FIREFLIES HITTERS SINCE AUGUST 12 (COL is 8-2 since 8/12):

STREAKIN': Three Fireflies have strung together a handful of consecutive multi-hit games. Hansel Moreno has tallied five straight multi-hit games, while Scott Manea and Jose Brizuela have each recorded three in a row.
BACK, BACK, BACK...GONE!, Pt. I: As a team, the Fireflies have blasted 80 homers in 2018, a new single-season team record. After Jay Jabs went yard on Saturday, Columbia has now homered in nine of its last 10 games. The Fireflies have 22 in the month of August (20 games). That's second only to its Sunday opponent: Asheville (26 in 22 August games).
IMPROVEMENT: Hansel Moreno leads off and is stationed at shortstop in Sunday's finale against Asheville. The 21-year-old tallied two more hits on Saturday; that's Moreno's fifth straight multi-hit game. Moreno was hitting .177 just 24 games into the season. Since June 8, Moreno is batting .300 (61-for-203, 55 games). That's the best average during that span among current Fireflies.
FAREWELL, ASHEVILLE: The Fireflies and Tourists meet for the final time in 2018 on Sunday and the season series has featured plenty of offense. The Fireflies have hit .264 with 37 extra-base hits in 13 games against Asheville while the Tourists have slashed .279 with 39 XBH against their counterpart
