ABOUT LAST GAME: Columbia rallied and defeated the RiverDogs on Wednesday, 6-5 in 10 innings. Jeremy Vasquez plated a run and scored a run in the top of the 10th that proved to be the difference. Charleston answered with a score in the bottom of the inning before Trey Cobb stranded the bases loaded to clinch the win.
COMEBACK CREW: The Fireflies were at one point down 4-2 after seven innings on Wednesday. Columbia scored twice in the top of the eighth to tie the score and then eventually won in extras. This is the third time this season the Fireflies have come back and won after trailing at the end of the seventh.
WHAT'S AT STAKE: Columbia has yet to lose a series this season. The RiverDogs have taken two of the first three games of the four-game set. Columbia keeps the streak alive with a win.
WE'RE STILL GOING STREAKING: Jeremy Vasquez reached base again on Wednesday. Vasquez has reached base safely in all 19 games he's played in this season-the best streak for all of Low-A and the fourth-longest streak in all of pro baseball (MLB & MiLB).
1. 22, Odubel Herrera (PHI) 3. 20, Logan Taylor (SEA, A+)
2. 20, Aaron Judge (NYY) T-4. 19, Jeremy Vasquez (NYM, A)
He is one of the most patient hitters in the SAL, too - he's first in the league in walks (19) and in on-base percentage (.488). The 19-game on-base streak is a new franchise record, passing Jay Jabs, Luis Carpio and Andres Gimenez's 17 straight set during the 2017 season
