Firebirds Win Sunday, Earn Four-Of-Six Points on Weekend Road Trip

North Bay, Ont. - The Firebirds posted a 5-3 road victory against the North Bay Battalion Sunday to earn four-of-a-possible six points on one of the toughest road trips the Firebirds will face in a season. With the win, Flint is back in first place in the West Division, second place in the Western Conference and secured their first-ever victory on the road in North Bay.

Flint's Ty Dellandrea recorded his second four-point game in two contests for 11 points in three games, Cody Morgan notched a three-point game, Zacharie Giroux tallied his first-career Ontario Hockey League (OHL) goal and Anthony Popovich 30 saves on 33 shots in his fourth-consecutive start.

Next up for Flint, the Firebirds return home to the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center for the final time before the Christmas Break for the club's "Star Wars Night" on Friday, Dec. 13. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. (ET) against Flint's in-state rival, the Saginaw Spirit, for game three of the I-75 Divide Cup Series, sponsored by Coors Light.
