Fife Recalled by Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Stephen Fife from Triple-A Albuquerque today. Fife will make his second start of the season for the Dodgers tonight against the San Diego Padres.

In his only start with Los Angeles this season, Fife allowed four runs in 4.2 innings in a no-decision on April 21 at Baltimore. He was then placed on the disabled list with right shoulder bursitis.

Fife last pitched in a rehab start for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on May 28 against Lancaster and allowed four runs (three earned) in 4.0 innings in a loss before being reinstated from the DL on May 30 and optioned to Albuquerque. The 26-year-old went 1-1 with a 4.61 ERA in three starts for the Isotopes this season.
