Mike Olt to Rejoin Express

ROUND ROCK, Texas - INF Mike Olt has been re-assigned to the Round Rock Express from Double-A Frisco RoughRiders. In a corresponding move, INF Mark Teahen was released from the Rangers organization.

Olt was placed on the disabled list with Round Rock on May 8 with vision problems. He was activated on May 31 and transferred to Frisco. In three games with the RoughRiders, the third baseman went 4-for-12 with two doubles, a home run and two RBI. He didn't draw a walk and struck out six times. Olt was batting just .139 (10-for-72) in 20 games with the Express before going on the DL.

Teahen was hitting .171 (6-for-35) with two RBI in 10 games with the Express. The Rangers signed him to a minor league contract on May 23. He played 22 games with the Reno Aces this season, batting .211 with five RBI, but was placed on the disabled list May 4. He had been traded from the Diamondbacks to the Cincinnati Reds on May 1 for a player to be named later but was returned due to injury.
