
Fernandez Pitches a Gem, Owlz Win 3-1

Arjenis Fernandez led the Owlz in a 3-1 victory over the Great Falls Voyagers to split the series.
Both teams started strong from the mound pitching three scoreless innings to begin the game.
In the fourth inning the Owlz got on the board with a pair of runs. After a pitch hit Natanael Delgado, he was replaced by Tyler Palmer, and Michael Hermosillo walked to get on base, Quinten Davis drove in the games first runs. With two outs and down to his last strike Davis doubled on a line drive into left field. Both Hermosillo and Palmer scored to give the Owlz a two run lead.
However, Great Falls cut the lead to one by adding a run in the bottom of the fourth inning.
The Owlz answered right back in the fifth inning. Caleb Adams led off the inning with a double to right field. Back to back groundouts by Raul Linares and Wendell Soto scored Adams, with Soto driving in the run.
Arjenis Fernandez pitched a gem only giving up one run in six innings. Fernandez improved to 7-3 on the season. Eduardo Paredes came in and struck out four batters in two innings while Jacob Kopra recorded his third save of the season.
The Owlz will start a three-game series with the Billings Mustangs on Friday night at 7:05. That game can be heard at audio.oremowlz.com.
