Missoula Splits Series with 9-4 Victory

OGDEN, Utah. - The Missoula Osprey rebounded from their first shutout of the year with a decisive 9-4 victory over the Ogden Raptors in front of 4,264 fans at Lindquist Field.

Missoula scored in pairs early with two runs too open the game off Ogden starter Abdiel Velasquez with RBI base knocks from a Stewart Ijames double and Trevor Mitsui single. Ijames would finish 2-4 while Mitsui went 3-5.

The O's scored a pair again in the third inning with Fernery Ozuna's two-run towering shot to right field for his sixth home run of the year.

Velasquez gave up two more in his final inning of work in the fourth with a Sergio Alcantara two-run double. Missoula's (6-6, 23-27) shortstop went 2-3 with 2 RBI and a pair of walks in addition to scoring twice.

Ogden's (6-5, 21-28) starter took the loss to fall to 2-5 with six earned in four innings.

Osprey starter Tyler Bolton (5-3) enjoyed the run support to win his second start in a row. Bolton worked six innings and allowed eight hits and four earned runs with just one walk and two strikeouts.

Will Landsheft, Cody Clark, and Brody Greer each pitched an inning of shutout baseball and combined for four strikeouts.
