
Feed The Tiger Finale To Kick Off Busy Holiday

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's 2001-02 Regular Season Champion and Eastern Conference Playoff Champion Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, will play a pair of home games on both sides of this week's Thanksgiving holiday hosting the Manchester Monarchs Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. and the Springfield Falcons Friday at 7:35 p.m. The two games at the Arena at Harbor Yard will mark the beginning of a stretch in which the Sound Tigers will play four games in five nights during three consecutive weeks. They will also visit the Lowell Lock Monsters this Saturday at 7 p.m. and the Hershey Bears this Sunday at 6 p.m.
The Sound Tigers will conclude their holiday food drive to benefit the Connecticut Food Bank with the "Feed The Tiger Finale" Wednesday. The Tiger Tunnel will be set up outside the Arena and, if the donated food fills it, everyone who donates will receive a free ticket to an upcoming home game. All adults who donate a non-perishable food item will receive a voucher good for $4 off the price of a regular ticket, and all kids who donate will receive a Sound Tigers pin.
Shaw's Supermarkets and Nutmeg Bowl will present turkey bowling during the first intermission of Wednesday's game with prizes including $100 in groceries from Shaw's and gift certificates for free bowling at Nutmeg Bowl. Nutmeg Bowl will also present the "lucky row of the night" Wednesday in which everyone seated in the winning row will receive gift certificates for free bowling. Wednesday's second intermission will feature a pin the tail on the turkey promotion.
Friday will be "Super Duper Weenie Night" at the Arena at Harbor Yard with an intermission promotion in which fans can shoot frozen hot dogs from Super Duper Weenie on goal. Fans can also show their ticket stub from Friday's game at Super Duper Weenie in Fairfield and receive free french fries.
All Sound Tigers' games are broadcast live on "The ZONE" FOX Sports Radio 1300 and on the Internet at www.soundtigers.com. "The ZONE" also broadcasts "The Sound Tigers Report" Tuesdays at 7 p.m., and road games air live on WSTC/WNLK 1400/1350.
