THIS WEEK...
The Flames enter the week ranked third in the Canadian Division with 15 points and a record of seven wins, nine losses and one tie.
Saint John travels to St. John's this week for a pair of games against the Maple Leafs on Tuesday and Wednesday before returning to Saint John to host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at Harbour Station on Friday and Saturday.

enter the week ranked last in the Canadian Division with 14 points and a record of 6-11-2-0.
This week's games between Saint John and St. John's will be the third and fourth of twelve this season between the Canadian Division rivals. The season series currently stands at 0-1-1-0.
Leading St. John's are left wing Brad Leeb (9g- 7a=16pts) and centres Bob Wren (6g-7a=13pts), Brad Boyes (5g-8a=13pts), Aaron Gavey (4g- 9a=13pts) and Nathan Barrett (3g-10a=13pts). Sebastien Centomo and Mikael Tellqvist share the netminding responsibilities for the Maple Leafs. Centomo is 2-3-1 in 7 appearances with a 3.98 GAA and an .847 sv%. Tellqvist is 4-8-1 in 14 appearances with a 4.06 GAA and an .892 sv%.
Tellqvist ranks second among AHL netminders in saves (430) and is tied for second in losses (8). Barrett and Boyes are tied for 9th in scoring among League rookies. Anders Eriksson is tied for 12th among League defencemen in scoring.
The WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON PENGUINS enter the week ranked last in the South Division with 16 points and a record of 7-10-1-1.
This week's games between Saint John and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will be the first and second of four this season between the clubs.
Leading Wilkes-Barre are centres Michal Sivek (7g-9a=16pts) and Toby Petersen (5g-7a=12pts), right wingers Tom Kostopoulos (5g-9a=14pts) and Konstantin Koltsov (3g-7a=10pts) and defenceman Ross Lupaschuk (4g- 7a=11pts). Sebastien Caron and Robbie Tallas handle the goaltending needs for the Penguins. Caron, through 16 appearances, is 6-9-1 with a 3.09 GAA and a .901 sv%. Tallas, in 3 appearances, is 1-1-0 with a 5.99 GAA and an .824 sv%.
Caron leads all AHL netminders in minutes played (951), total saves (447) and losses (9). Coby Armstrong is tied for third among League rookies in powerplay goals (3). Lupaschuk is tied for 14th among League defencemen in scoring.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEE...
The Saint John Flames nominated centre Matt Lombardi for Sherwood Player of the Week honours for the week ending Sunday, November 24th. Lombardi, currently on a two game goal streak from November 23 to present, led all Flames last week with 6 points (4 goals, 2 assists) in two games.
Lombardi recorded consecutive multiple goal/multiple point games as Saint John met Manitoba twice last week. On Friday in the clubs' first meeting, the Flames rookie netted 2 goals and 1 assist and was named the games second star. On Saturday, he was again selected second star with another 2 goal, 1 assist performance.
Lombardi, currently tied for fourth among AHL rookies in points (16) and ranked second among League rookies in goals (9), has recorded four multiple point games this season, three of them with multiple goals.

Flames rookie centre Matt Lombardi collected 6 points in two games last week for the Flames, recording consecutive multiple goal/multiple point games. Lombardi recorded 3 points (2g, 1a) on Friday and 3 points (2g, 1a) on Saturday and was selected second star in each contest.
Flames forward Robert Dome, currently on a 5-game point streak (3g- 5a=8pts), has recorded an assist in each of the Flames last five games.
Flames forward Ryan Christie recorded his second multiple point game of the season on Saturday versus Manitoba. Christie collected 1 goal and 1 assist in the contest.
