FC Dallas Hosts Colorado Rapids at Toyota Stadium

Toyota Stadium on Saturday, March 23 at 4:30PM CT. This is the first of two meetings this season between the two clubs who were among MLS' original 10 franchises when the league launched in 1996. Dallas visits the Rapids on Sunday, September 29.

Rebounding

In 24 previous seasons, FC Dallas has rebounded nicely following its first loss of the season. Dallas is 11-7-5 after dropping its first match of a new year. FCD fell 1-0 at Columbus last week.

Barrios Streaking

FC Dallas' Michael Barrios has played in 89 consecutive matches, a streak that started June 19, 2016. Barrios is tied with San Jose's Chris Wondolowski for the eighth-longest streak of consecutive games played in MLS history. The all-time leader is New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles who played in 183 consecutive matches.

Just the Two of Us

At 38 years old, FC Dallas head coach Luchi Gonzalez (7/14/80) is the second-youngest coach in MLS. The youngest? Rapids' coach Anthony Hudson who turned 38 on March 11. Gonzalez and Hudson are the only MLS coaches under the age of 40.

Against the Rapids

FC Dallas beat the Rapids in their last visit to Toyota Stadium, 1-0 on April 7, 2019. Colorado's last win in Frisco was in 2016. The Rapids won the last meeting between the teams in a 2-1 victory at Dick's Sporting Good Park in the 2018 MLS regular season finale on Decision Day (October 28).

About the Rapids

Colorado is still looking for its first win of 2019. The Rapids have played to a draw in two of their first three matches of the season.
