March 22, 2019 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Los Angeles FC News Release
The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) returns home this weekend as the Club gets set to take on Real Salt Lake on Saturday night at Banc of California Stadium. The match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on YouTube TV, Univision KVMD, the ESPN app and 980 AM 'La Mera Mera'.
In Week 3, the Black & Gold battled to a 2-2 draw against New York City FC in its first road contest of 2019. Meanwhile, Real Salt Lake are coming off a 5-0 defeat against D.C. United last Saturday evening.
Last year, LAFC and RSL met a total of three times - twice in regular season and once during the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs. The Black & Gold were able to secure all six points in regular season play, before the Rocky Mountain side ended LAFC's historic inaugural campaign with a 3-2 win in the Knockout Round on November 1.
After three matches, LAFC sits second in the West with a record of 2-0-1 (7 pts.) and is also just one of three teams still undefeated in the Western Conference (Seattle, Houston). Meanwhile, RSL are currently in 8th place with a 1-1-1 (4 pts.) record and have scored just two goals to begin 2019.
