Falcons Win In Overtime At Lowell

The Springfield Falcons rallied from a one-goal deficit late in regulation for a 3-2 overtime win on Saturday night at the Paul Tsongas Arena improving their record to a perfect 5-0 this season at Lowell. Ben Simon scored the game-winner at 2:06 of the extra session moving the Falcons back into fourth place in the Atlantic Division.

Trailing 2-1 late in the third period, Springfield's Stephane Goulet evened the score at 2-2 with his second marker of the season with 1:50 remaining in regulation.

The Devils opened the scoring at 7:05 of the first period when Noah Clarke scored his 13th marker of the season, but Springfield's Marc Pouliot tied the score at 1-1 when he scored a shorthanded goal at 8:32 of the first period.

In the second period, the Falcons appeared to have taken a 2-1 lead late in the middle session when Jonas Almtorp redirected a slap shot from the right point, but it was ruled the puck was touched with a high stick.

Early in the third period, Barry Tallackson gave the Devils a 2-1 lead when he tallied his 14th goal of the year at 8:53 of the final fram
