Springfield, Mass. - Anton Forsberg and the Springfield Falcons shutout the Worcester Sharks, 1-0, tonight at the DCU Center.

The win pushes the Falcons up to 8-7-1-0 and moves the teams to 1-1-0-0 in the six-game season series. The Sharks now sit at 8-5-1-0 on the season.

Forsberg turned away all 33 shots in his first appearance since being assigned back to the Falcons on Nov. 14. Worcester goaltender J.P. Anderson stopped 15 of 16. The Falcons were unable to convert on four power play opportunities. The penalty kill unit shut down all six Sharks man-advantages.

After a scoreless first period, Sean Collins gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead in the middle frame. Collins was awarded a penalty shot after Matt Tennyson hooked his arm on a breakaway. He faced Anderson on his own and backhanded a shot that slid across the goal line through the five hole.

An even third period sealed a 1-0 victory for the Falcons and gave Forsberg his first shutout of the season.

The Springfield Falcons will travel to face Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Nov. 16? before returning to the MassMutual Center to host the Sound Tigers on Nov. 21.
