IN JUST A FEW HOURS...
The Springfield Falcons take on the Providence Bruins at the MassMutual Center, with the puck scheduled to drop at 7:00 p.m. Springfield overcame three one-goal deficits on Friday night in Worcester and scored in the final minute to force overtime. The Falcons fell in the sudden-death frame to the Sharks, 4-3, but increased their Northeast Division lead over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers to six points. Tomas Kubalik scored twice in the comeback effort, while Ryan Johansen also connected for the Falcons. Providence is in Springfield for the second time this season, and first since it handed the Falcons their first loss of the year on Oct. 20, 3-1. Springfield and Providence have split the first four of 10 total meetings in 2012-2013.

KUBALIK COMES UP CLUTCH
Tomas Kubalik picked the right time to register his first multi-goal game of the season on Friday, as the third-year pro played a big role in the Falcons' comeback effort. Kubalik scored for the first time since Dec. 14 and collected his first two-goal game since Mar. 10, 2012.
OVERTIME DIFFICULTIES CONTINUE
The Falcons' struggles in sudden-death overtime were extended on Friday, as Springfield dropped its sixth-straight decision in the extra session. Springfield has not won in the sudden-death stanza since defeating Worcester, 3-2, on Nov. 16, 2011. The Falcons have one win in seven post-regulation appearances this season, prevailing in a shootout over Manchester on Dec. 16, 3-2. Springfield is one of just four AHL teams, along with division rivals Albany and Connecticut and also Hamilton, that has not won a game in sudden-death overtime this season.
MINUTE OF MADNESS
Springfield scored in the final minute of regulation to send a game into overtime for the second time in 2012-2013 on Friday. Ryan Johansen scored for Springfield in the last minute of its game on Dec. 15 against St. John's. The Falcons lost that game in the extra session, 3-2.
NEVER GIVE UP
Springfield earned a point for the third time this season when trailing after two periods, and first since notching a 5-4 comeback win in Manchester on Nov. 30.
GOLOUBEF RETURNS
Cody Goloubef made his return to Springfield's line-up on Friday, two months to the date after he went down with an injury back on Nov. 11. Goloubef missed 22 games but returned with an assist, setting up Jonathan Audy-Marchessault in the right circle on Ryan Johansen's third-period goal.
'JOEY' GOES BACK-TO-BACK
Ryan Johansen has goals in consecutive games and is second on the team with 14 this season.
MCELHINNEY ECLIPSES MILESTONE
Curtis McElhinney reached the 10,000 minute mark in AHL play last night. He is nine wins away from reaching 100 AHL victories.
SIX FOR SIX
Springfield has scored on the power play in six-straight games. Prior to this stretch, the Falcons had gone three-consecutive contests and five of six games without a man-advantage tally.
OBEYING THE LAW
The Falcons remain the only team in the league without a 10-minute or a game misconduct this season. Springfield is the only team without a 10-minute misconduct. The 42 penalty minutes by Dalton Prout is the lowest total of any AHL player who leads his team in that category.
