Falcons Announce Danny Briere Bobblehead Night

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, in partnership with Stop & Shop, announced today Danny Briere Bobblehead Night to honor the former Falcons forward on Sunday, April 10, at 5 p.m. when the Falcons host the Providence Bruins at the MassMutual Center. The Falcons legend will be in attendance and honored at the game.

Briere, who retired from professional hockey in 2015, played for the Falcons at various times throughout four seasons spanning from 1997 to 2001. In 169 career games with the Falcons, Briere scored 88 goals and added 129 assists for 217 career points. Briere's best season came during his rookie year in 1997-98, when he scored 36-56-92 in just 68 games and represented the Falcons at the AHL All-Star Classic. The Gatineau, Quebec native also occupies a spot in the top-five all-time Falcons in goals, assists, points, game winning goals and power play goals.

As an NHL player, Briere skated in the Stanley Cup Finals once as a member of the Philadelphia Flyers in 2010, and appeared in the Eastern Conference Final on two other occasions with the Buffalo Sabres.
