The Omaha Royals are back in action at Rosenblatt Stadium on Wednesday, August 4, opening an eight-game homestand with a pair of four-game series vs. the Portland Beavers and Tacoma Rainiers. The homestand features Rebecca St. James in concert for Faith & Family Night on Saturday, August 7 and a chest protector backpack giveaway on Sunday, August 8. These exciting promotions are on tap:
Wednesday, August 4, 7:05 p.m.: Celebrate a Summer Savings Event, presented by Omaha State Bank: kids who have opened up a new checking account, or put $50 into an existing account get a free ticket, an autograph session with Royals players and other great prizes. It's also Subway Kids Eat Free Night: the 1st 100 kids 12-and-under receive a free personal Subway pizza and a Coke and all kids after that get a free hot dog and a Coke! Plus, Subway Kids Club members get in FREE. The night is also presented by Star 104.5, The CW and Omaha Newspapers.
Thursday, August 5, 7:05 p.m.: It's Sponsor Appreciation Night and Thirsty Thursday, when fans enjoy $1 beers and Cokes, courtesy of 96.1 The Brew, Action 3 News and The Reader! It's also Jimmy Buffett Night: wear a Hawaiian shirt and get a $5 Reserved seat ticket. There will also be a Jimmy Buffett singer before the game, along with great specials on cheeseburgers and margaritas all night!
Friday, August 6, 7:05 p.m.: "May the Force be with you," as it's Star Wars Night. Come see all your favorite Star Wars characters including Jedis, Storm Troopers, Droids and Darth Vader! After the game, Werner Enterprises presents Friday Fireworks! The night will also feature the Make-a-Wish Foundation, as the Royals help grant the wish of a young child. The night is also presented by Twister 93.3, KFAB, KETV and The Reader.
Saturday, August 7, 6:35 p.m.: The annual Faith & Family Night features the game, post-game fireworks and Rebecca St. James in concert, brought to you by Walking Together Lutheran Ministries, Cox Communications and KGBI 100.7 FM. The night is also presented by the Reader.
Sunday, August 8, 6:05 p.m.: It's a special back-to-school night game with a 6:05 p.m. first pitch. The 1st 1,000 kids 12-and-under receive a unique back-to-school item: a chest protector backpack, courtesy of Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital. Plus, it's U.S. Bank Family FUNday, with clowns, face painting and balloon art. Subway Kids Club members get in FREE. After the game all kids are invited to run the bases with Casey, presented by Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. The night is also presented by KGBI 100.7 FM, Fox 42 and Family Spectrum Magazine.
Monday, August 9, 7:05 p.m.: Rotella's Italian Bakery presents $1 hot dog night: Hebrew National hot dogs are only a buck! It's also the 1st installment of "Kids Who Rock": lucky kids who have been selected by 89.7 The River will have the opportunity to throw out a ServiceOne first pitch before the game.
Tuesday, August 10, 7:05 p.m.: It's Valpak 2-Buck 2uesday. General Admission tickets are only 2 bucks! And at Tuesday home games, just bring your KRAFT Singles wrapper to the Rosenblatt ticket office and buy one ticket to get one FREE from KRAFT singles! The night is also presented by CD 105.9, The CW and The Reader.
Wednesday, August 11, 12:05 p.m.: Enjoy ½-price Omaha Steaks burgers! The day is also presented by 1110 KFAB.
