Sioux Falls, S.D. (Jan. 11, 2012) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has re-acquired forward Patrick Ewing, Jr. To make room for him on the roster the team waived forward Billy McShepard due to injury. He is expected to be in uniform tonight as the Skyforce takes on the Texas Legends at 5:30 p.m. CT at the 2012 NBA D-League Showcase in Reno, Nev. The active roster now stands at 10 players.

Ewing, Jr. holds NBA D-League career averages of 17.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 79 games with the Reno Bighorns (56) and Skyforce (23). He was named All-NBA D-League Third Team after averaging 17.7 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 49 games with Reno (26) and Sioux Falls (23) last season. Acquired in a trade with Reno on Jan. 25, the 2011 NBA D-League All-Star was called up by the New Orleans Hornets on March 26 and appeared in seven regular season and two postseason contests.
